Dr. Bryan Lara is a maxillofacial prosthodontist. He grew up between Costa Rica and South Carolina. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología, and graduated cum laude.
Following dental school he attended the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia and received his certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics. Dr. Lara then took his training further and completed a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Prior to joining the team at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in Richmond, Dr. Lara was an assistant clinical professor with the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry and Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Dentistry in New Orleans. Afterward he practiced in West Virginia. He lectures yearly to the prosthodontics residents at the Dental College of Georgia and has been published in scientific journals.
He is part-time faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Lara is dedicated to giving back to the community by treating patients in need of dental care through various outreach programs.
Outside of the office he enjoys the outdoors, handcycling, and traveling. He also enjoys spending quality time with his son, family, and friends.
